HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU BEAUTIFUL MOTHER'S

Today we are celebrating Mother's Day. Some are getting to spend the day with their mom's and other's are not. I pray for comfort for those of you that are not able to be with your Mother on this special day. I pray for comfort for the one's that want to be a Mother and it just hasn't happened yet. And I also pray that for some, precious memories will get you through your day. Your mom would want you to be happy. I would like to say that I love my Mother very much! I am so glad that God gave her to me. God knew when he was going to send me to this earthly home, and he knew who to entrust me to. God knew that my mom would take care of me and raise me in a way that I would be able to serve him best. Thank you mom for helping be the person that I am today. Thank you for giving me a good raising and teaching me right from wrong. Thank you for kissing the boo-boos and hugging away the pain. Thank you for skipping meals to make sure we had enough to eat. When I was little I actually believed you weren't hungry. Thank you for always being there when I needed a shoulder to cry on. Thank you for being there to hug me when I needed a hug. Thank you for being there when I was bringing my children into the world. Thank you for showing me that I was worth loving. And most of all.....Thank you for always taking the time to listen to me. No matter what you were doing, you are always ready to stop in your tracks and listen to me. Thank you for always believing in me even when I didn't believe in myself. Thank you for putting your life on hold so I could live mine. I love you so much and I am so proud to call you my mom! I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!

Our Beggining and how it all got started

My husband, Gary, was the pastor of a church in Conway, AR. He resigned because we felt like God wanted us some where else. We came back to our home church in Little Rock, AR. and waited on God to show us where to he wanted us to go. I prayed every night; Lord show me where you want me to go and I will be willing to follow. I prayed for a full-time ministry and for the Lord to show me how to love as he does. I felt I didn't really know how to love and I wanted to learn. Gary soon got a call from a church by our home that was looking for a pastor. We went there for several Sunday's for him to preach and was told that the church was going to call him to pastor. On that same day, I received a call from my best friend to please pray for a set of house parents at ABC Homes. Immediately I knew what God was asking us to do. Two weeks later we set off for our trip to visit ABC Homes. I was very excited to be going, but thought I can't do this. I liked my time to myself, I liked to get up and go when I wanted. I didn't want to be around a house full of kids and kaos all day! God put me in my place real fast. He let me know how selfish I was being. I had just told him the night before, you tell me where to go and I will follow. Now I was telling God I couldn't? Well, he convicted me real quick on that one. We spent the night at ABC homes in Monticello and got to know some of the kid's. They were so happy and so full of love. Gary and I got up the next morning and walked through the campus. I started crying feeling overwhelmed by the presence of God. God was all over the campus and he said; Denise, this is where you will serve me. Gary felt the same conviciton and we knew God needed us there. We stayed for almost a year and felt God asking us to move on. We gained custody of a 17 year old boy, Jackie, who is on fire for the Lord. We are very excited about what God has instore for our family and very excited to have kids to minister with us. God is so good! We seek his will for our lives always!
