THE DEVIL MUST BE DISAPPOINTED!

Today 2 of the boys were baptized. It was such a beautiful sight. Please pray for these 2 young Christians for guidance to make good decisions, and grow in God.

But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.

A Time to Pray

Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. ( Psalm 61:1-3 NIV )

For as many times we celebrate victories we must endure times of challenge. I have always said that if we do not have challenges in our life, than our testimony looses strength. In the short time that I have been here I have seen a lot of faces leave. Some choose to leave on their own and some leave due to bad choices. One thing I have seen in common with most is that tears are left behind! Though sad I can't help but wonder what the tears are for. If I was a betting man I would probably say that they were tears of separation. Meaning, leaving friends and leaving adults that love them. Just proof that this ministry is a very precious one. Not only that, It means seeing dear, newly found friends that go through trials as well. On our first week on duty I sat the boys down and told them something. I said " I know this will be hard for you to digest, but please know that I love each and every one of you." For a person that has never had eye contact with you before tell you he loves you, that is strange. However, that is what God did for us. It is our DUTY ( not job) to show these kids the same Love. Sometimes it's tough Love, but its love all the same. The same goes for each missionary here as well. Living here on campus I have realized that we must unite as one body and that means to share each victory and challenge with one another. A lot like a church family you could say. Just today i found out that A very dear person had bad results on a test and a very, very serious procedure must be done. I want to say right now that I am praying for a perfect outcome as I attempt to make sense of this blog ( I pray it does make sense :)   However I know that God allows each and every circumstance to arise, and He knows each outcome. What an awesome feeling to know that! I believe that the time we get to spend with each other not just here, but where ever we go, we need to understand the importance of showing Gods Love. And that includes our sincere prayer time. Asking God's providence in all situations. One circumstance I have not experienced yes is meeting a new face. Although sad as well, I pray that we can make it an exciting and comfortable time for the child. All by showing Love, Understanding, and Grace. I pray that this was a blessing for you and please continue to pray for Denise and I as we continue our mission for God
I will glorify your name forever. For great is your Love toward me. ( Psalm 86: 12-13 NIV)

PRAISES!!!

2 of the kids are being baptized on Sunday.....JESUS WIN'S AGAIN!!!

THE POWER OF A CHILD

Do you ever under estimate the power of a child? So often I think that it's up the the adults to witness and "God only work's through us" attitude. I am guilty. But I had a Hugh eye opener at how awesome our God is and how much he uses each and every single child of his. During our church service Sunday a child let the congregation know just how much God loved them. We have this game the preacher does with the children before service called, "the mystery box." A child will bring an item to be put in the box and the preacher, without knowing what is in the box, will pull it out and give a message on it. Kind of whatever pops in his mind about the object. Well, this past Sunday the preacher reached in the box and it was empty. Someone had forgotten to place an object in the box. The preacher kinda smiled and said; Well kids, ready to go back to your seats? One little boy raised his hand and said; "Preacher, that box is not empty. God's love is in that box." Well the preacher smiled and the congregation began to clap. The preacher gave a 5 minute sermon on how God's love was everywhere, including in the box. He asked all the kid's to reach in and get some of God's love and throw it out in the congregation. Just a perfect example that God's love is EVERYWHERE! God used a 7 year old boy to let people know that he loved them. Well, I am a very proud mother. Because the little boy that raised his hand was my son, Ethan. He is learning so much by being here at ABC Homes. He is learning how fun it is having older and younger siblings and he is learning how God is all around us and everywhere we go. Just goes to show you that God uses the little people too. :)
God bless you all. Have an awesome God loves you day!

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME!

We have only been at ABC Homes for 2 weeks now and I keep repeating; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! I am learning so much about the kid's and falling more in love with them everyday. They all have a story to tell, most of which will break your heart and make you want to change the way you do some things. I am so honored that God has allowed me to come here and to love on these kid's if only for the short time he allows. One child here came from a very unstable background, as most do. The child's care taker was heavy into drugs and a lot of bad thing's happened. We took these kid's to the Chris Tomlin concert. It blessed my heart to see that after all this child had been through, he was raising his hand's and praising God through it all. It brought tear's to my eye's just thinking, where is my faith?  Do we have that much faith? The faith of a child. God has great plans for these kid's, and us too. An eternity with him. No pain, no sorrow no more hurting. An eternity of rejoicing and being with the people we love.  Please continue to pray for this ministry. God is doing and is going to do great things here!  Love all of you and thank you for your prayers.

I CAN DO EVERYTHING THROUGH HIM WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH.
