LOOKING FOR HAPPINESS? TURN TO JESUS!

I seen this picture and my very first thought was WALK AWAY FROM THE WORLD AND TURN TO JESUS! I know, easier said than done. So many of us think what the world has to offer is much more appealing than what God has to offer. So many of us are wrong and just don't realize it right now. Sure, on the outside what the Devil has to offer seems great. But on the inside you are miserable and still always longing for something. Love, money, big house, new car...I could go on and on. I used to be one of those people who thought I didn't need God. I could get everything on my own and I could find happiness without God. Boy was I sadly mistaken. I searched for happiness everywhere, but until I found God, I lived in misery. I know I'm not perfect and I know I falter everyday, but God forgives me. God understands me and God loves me. Whatever your ties are to the world, you will never find true happiness in them. When you finish that beer you won't see God's face at the bottom of the glass. When you put your debit card in at the ATM God won't spit out a message for you on the receipt. When you build that big house, God won't come for dinner until you invite him. You might find happiness until the new wears off, but then you are going to have to find something else to fill that void in your soul. God can completely fill that void and you will have to search no longer for your happiness. God can take the most unclean soul, clean it and prepare your life for a life of comfort and a life of eternity in a heavenly home. Sure you will still have struggles. That's God building you and teaching you to call on him. So whatever you are struggling with, give it to God. Ask him to bring happiness to your life. Make you heart clean for God and start fresh again. A chance to find true happiness...how amazing is our God? Amazing enough. So amazing that soon you will realize all you needed in the beginning was God. Turn from the world and try God. He's waiting...... for you!

LET THE WICKED FORSAKE HIS WAY AND THE EVIL MAN HIS THOUGHTS. LET HIM TURN TO THE LORD, AND HE WILL HAVE MERCY ON HIM, AND TO OUR GOD, FOR HE WILL FREELY PARDON.
                                ISAIAH 55:7

GOD IS GOOD!

We have a kid here at the home that has only been here about 6 months now. He came here saying; I'm only court ordered here for 6 months then I'm going to go back to my life on the streets making money. I have to be honest, when we first came here he was hard for me to deal with. I dreaded him coming because he was mean and threaten to hit my son several times. Well we all know things don't stay the same for long. We continued to love on him and tell him about how great Jesus was and how he could change lives. It was hard for his guy to understand that after everything he did, God could forgive him. I told him if God could forgive me, he could forgive anybody. Well, about 2-3 months ago he got saved. The first couple of weeks of him being a Christian was hard for him. At one point he became frustrated for thoughts he was having and threw his Bible and his cross necklaces on the floor and said; I don't want to be a Christian. It's too hard! He went to his room and didn't come out the rest of the night. I was broken hearted because I thought this guy had won his battle. Unfortunately, the Devil was just beginning on him. We kept giving him scriptures to read to help build him and show him that God didn't say it was going to be easy. Within the next few days he was wanting his Bible and necklaces back. He would study his Bible and hold it up and say; I'm growing, I'm growing. Two weeks ago this kid told me he wanted to preach. Can you believe that...it wants to preach! I told him we would talk to the preacher at church and see if he would let him do a Bible study one night. Well this guy is inpatient. He wanted to teach us about God. Last night at church they were having a sing out but no preaching. We told this boy that we would stay home and let him preach to us. He sat at the kitchen table for about 2 hours working on his sermon. Gary made him a pulpit and we turned this guy loose on all our cottage boys. Now you know it's hard for men to get up and preach in front of crowds, but to get up in front of their peers is even harder. He had 10 people in his church, not bad for a beginning. :) He preached on Psalm and quoted some of his verses by heart. He did such a great job and I was so very proud of him. He was smiling from ear to ear just knowing he was getting to tell all of us about his Jesus. It's hard to believe that 4 months ago I dreaded being around this guy and now he is teaching me things about Jesus. Only God could make that type of change in someone. I have a feeling that this guy is going to do great things for God. And who knows, he may lead an army to Jesus before it's all said and done. Praise our mighty Lord and Savior!

                                                      GOD'S WORD IS SO GOOD.
FOR THOSE GOD FOREKNEW HE ALSO PREDESTINED TO BE CONFORMED TO THE LIKENESS OF HIS SON, THAT HE MIGHT BE THE FIRSTBORN AMONG MANY BROTHERS. AND THOSE HE PREDESTINED, HE ALSO CALLED; THOSE HE CALLED; HE ALSO JUSTIFIED; THOSE HE JUSTIFIED, HE ALSO GLORIFIED.

LETS GO BOWLING!

We went out to eat tonight and then took the boys bowling. We had a great time. Ethan did better than his big sister. :) She definitely gets her bowling talents from me....that being NO bowling talent. LOL. Gary and the boys were in competition with each other. Gary won but one of the boys came very close to beating him. After bowling one of the boys drove the race car game. The chair actually simulates a real racing experience. The steering wheel starts shaking when you get over 100 mph. We were all in the car with him when at 143 mph, he crashed! It's OK... we all survived. :)  It was fun watching the boys have a good time. I love to see the boys smiling and laughing. I think that is one of the most beautiful pictures life can paint. A happy child.

ENJOYING GOD'S CREATION

Wow we had such a beautiful day! The boys worked outside raking leaves and trimming bushes. We had a project to do for an elderly lady in town. We took the boys and went to rake her yard and clean up around her house. God blessed us with such a gorgeous day to do these projects. I was watching the boys, they would rake a pile of leaves and then just pick them up and throw them at each other. It's amazing that you can put 6 boys in a cottage and they can still get along and have fun together. They enjoyed the day outside and I think the fresh air did us all some good. I tried to play soccer with one of the boys but I was not good at that! LOL. I did enjoy watching the other boys play though. I watched one of the boys who recently earned driving priveledges, drive the farm tractor. It was really funny. He was singing the song; I'll take you for a ride on my big green tractor, and just trucking right along. We are fixing to head out the door now. We are taking the boys bowling. (Another sport I'm not good at.) I'm glad we were blessed with such a beautiful day. Can you imagine God just breathed life and so it was! With all the sin and destruction in the world, I'm so glad we still can take time to admire the beauty and enjoy God's precious creation. Thank you Lord for being so forgiving and allowing us to enjoy such a wonderful day together. God is good!!

PARTY AT GOD'S HOUSE!

I found this looking around through pictures. It was a party invitation that a little girl wrote to her friend. Working here I don't know why things kids do surprise me, but they do and they still amaze me. A child concerned about a friends eternal life wrote this and gave it to her friend. I would love to know if her friend accepted the invitation or not. Regardless, we should all have the same goal in mind. Do you have a friend who's eternity your concerned about? I'm sure we all know someone. Write them an invitation. Stick it in the mail, even if it's done anonymously. The point is for them to get the invite... right? Plant the seed and let God take care of the rest. Go ahead and get the stamp ready to go....God Bless you.

MY FRIEND JESUS

This describes me so well. I should pray each morning before my feet even hit the floor. I think the Devil starts working on me as soon as the alarm goes off! I need God's help everyday. God is so good to me and I am so undeserving of his love. Thank you Lord for guiding my steps and being my friend. A friend that will never leave my side and always has time to listen to me. A friend that layed his life down for me before I even existed. A friend that if given the task again, would die all over again for me. Thats the kind of friend we all need. Thats the kind of friend Jesus is. I love my friend Jesus!

MY COMMAND IS THIS: LOVE EACH OTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU.
GREATER LOVE HAS NO ONE THAN THIS, THAT HE LAY DOWN HIS
LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.

TIME WITH FAMILY

I am back from my moms. We had so much fun together. We went shopping and just had some much needed girl time. I went to my sister's last night and my niece cooked us dinner. It was very good. We left there and went to our home church. I told my pastor I was going to quit coming there because every time I came he made me mad. Just kidding, but he does have a bad habit of stepping on my toes. LOL. We went to our meeting today. It was a conference on how to spot a child who has been abused. A lot of good information but very sad to hear how often it happens. After the meeting we went to see our dear friend who is in the hospital. We love you Ms. V. and pray you get better really soon! We came home this afternoon and went with the older guys to have dinner. It was really fun and we had a great time. They are so much fun to hang around. This ministry is hard...but well worth it. I am so honored that God has allowed me to be part of it. Please continue to pray for Lyndsie's friend Paige. She is doing good but she is going to have to have physical therapy on her knee. It's hard to take off so much time during your first year of college. It doesn't take much to get behind. God Bless you and I hope you have a great night.

NOT PERFECT....JUST FORGIVEN!

A few days ago a kid was showing me pictures of his mother. I said she's very pretty. He said; yes she is and I can't wait to go home again. When Gary and I first started this ministry this kid told me why he was here. Details that no mother would want her children to endure, but this kid did. Then it hit me like a brick. I thought, with everything his mother put him through, he still thinks shes beautiful. He still sees her as perfect.... because shes his mother. Then today I seen the picture above and it reminded me of the pictures of this kids mom. I thought about us (being sinners) nailing Jesus to the cross, and yet he has forgiven us. He is carrying us....THE ONES WHO CRUCIFIED HIM! What a forgiving God. My father is awesome. Just like a child sees their mom as the most beautiful person in the world, God sees us in the same way. After everything we did (and do) to him, he loves us more than anything. He still loves us knowing all our faults and all our thoughts. And you know what....HE LOVES YOU AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT THAT!

THOUGH THE MOUNTAINS BE SHAKEN AND THE HILLS BE REMOVED,
YET MY UNFAILING LOVE FOR YOU WILL NOT BE SHAKEN
NOR MY COVENANT OF PEACE BE REMOVED',
SAYS THE LORD, WHO HAS COMPASSION ON YOU.

Tuesday, January 25, 2011

We just got off duty with the big guys. We had a good time with them. We go to Little Rock on Thursday for a conference on abused children and how to deal with them. I am going to a Beth Moore Bible study in the morning at 1st Baptist and then I am headed to my moms. I am going to meet her at my favorite place to eat ( Hello Tamolly's ) and then we are going to have a bunking party at her house tomorrow night. I am really looking forward to that. The calling the friend thing for Ethan did not work. He said his friend can't come here so he didn't need to call him. I tried to get him to call him anyway, but he wouldn't. Maybe today. Try and try again, right. Eventually, things are going to get better. I believe in prayer and I trust my Lord and Savior. I hope you all have a great day today. Let NOTHING keep you from talking to Jesus today. He loves us so much and loves it when we call on him. Good thing he doesn't charge us to call on him because my phone bill lately would be outrageous. LOL  Love you guys. Have an awesome day with God!

FRIENDS MAKE THE WORLD SWEETER

I was reading out of Ecclesiastes this morning and read some beautiful scripture. Lately, I have been a little down because my son has been acting different. He seems a little depressed and lacks interest in things he used to enjoy. We have been trying to find a way to get him back to himself. I pray so hard for God to heal his soul and make him happy again. No mother likes to see her children upset. I have friends dear to me that always have encouraging words and ones that are praying soldiers for Ethan and us. I don't know what I would do without my dear friends. Before I did my Bible study this morning I prayed that God would open my eyes to what I needed to see. I flipped my Bible open and started reading in the 4th chapter of Ecclesiastes. It made me realize how much I really do need my friends. It also made me realize how much Ethan needs his. When he comes home from school today I am going to put him on the phone with his best friend back home. God showed me exactly what I needed for the moment and hopefully the way to get Ethan back on track. Thank you to my dear friends for keeping us in your heart and prayers. I love and appreciate each and every one of you!

GOD'S MIGHTY POWER

Can you even grip how much power our father has? It's so hard to imagine how mighty and awesome our God really is.He is so much bigger than I ever give him credit for! We are with the big guys this week. They all finished up their chores this morning and are headed to clean a storage building out. One of the boys thought he would tease Gary a little and sprayed him with some furniture cleaner. Gary grabbed a Nerf sword and took off after him. He chased him out the door and down the sidewalk. It was really funny from my end seeing a house parent with a sword chasing a student. I told Gary that may have not looked too well to everyone else though. LOL It was really funny. Gary never caught him. I like watching the kids have fun and smile. Life needs to be full of laughter. I'm glad we can provide ourselves for them to laugh at. :) They have had so much heartbreak in their lives. It's just nice knowing that they can remember how to smile. I'm glad my God is in ultimate control. I know he will provide happiness for these kids to continue to grow in his love because God takes care of his children. I hope that today is full of FUN, SMILES AND LAUGHTER for you!

A HAPPY HEART MAKES THE FACE CHEERFUL,
BUT HEARTACHE CRUSHES THE SPIRIT.

LOVE ONE ANOTHER

               God's commandment...Love one another. I love you!

It is hard to love everyone all the time. You get upset with people sometimes and find it hard to even like them right? But God still commands us to love them. Remember the lady I was telling you about at Walgreen's that was not so nice? Well Gary and I had to go back in Walgreen's today and there she was. I thought, hummm I wonder if she will be in a better mood today. She wasn't. She was so mean! I wonder what is going on in her life that she is so miserable and can't see God's love. I was so mad about her being so rude again that it put me in a bad mood. I just couldn't believe they kept this lady employed there. Later when I got home I was reminded that God puts everyone in your life for a reason. So I set a goal.  My goal is to pray hard for her for one week and then go back in there and ask her if she knows my Jesus. Please pray with me for this lady and in one week I am going back in there to talk to her. With prayer and God behind us maybe I will be able to tell her about God's love. Please pray hard. Prayerfully I will stay strong even if she is not in the mood to hear it. Again God is taking me out of my comfort zone. But with God....all things are possible!

Mom, I found this and thought you might like it.

WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING YOUR CHILDREN??

Here at the Baptist home it is very imperative that the kids see you walking Christ like. But it should be that way in every home. I would like for you to stop and consider what you are doing to your children if you are setting a bad example. If your child sees you drinking, doing drugs or not going to church, they are sure to follow by your example. I don't know about you, but when I get to Heaven I don't want God asking me why I didn't teach my kids how to seek him first and get to Heaven. I don't want him saying; Depart from me. I never knew you. Set the example and they are sure to follow. We went to 1st Baptist Sunday morning and the preacher said we should never judge if some one is actually saved or not. That's between God and that person. But the preacher said if you are living for the sin and staying in the sin, it's time to check your heart. You may not be a child of God's.
Did you know that no one can pray you in to heaven? No matter how good you think you are, there is only one way to enter the gates of Heaven and no one can do it for you.

JESUS ANSWERED, 'I AM THE WAY AND THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.   JOHN 14:6

What are you teaching your children?

DO NOT GET DRUNK ON WINE, WHICH LEADS TO DEBAUCHERY. INSTEAD, BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT.    EPHESIANS 5:19

Scary thought? Hell is much more scary!

DEAR CHILDREN, KEEP YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS.   1 JOHN 5:21

Money can't buy your way in to Heaven.

I TELL YOU THE TRUTH. IT IS HARD FOR A RICH MAN TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
 MATTHEW 19:23

Forget about every monetary thing you worked for on earth. It won't go to Heaven with you.

DO NOT STORE UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES ON EARTH, WHERE MOTH AND RUST DESTROY, AND WHERE THIEVES BREAK IN AND STEAL. FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE YOU HEART WILL BE ALSO. MATTHEW 6: 19 & 21

Take your kids to church. It won't get them to Heaven by just going to church, but it's a start in the right direction.

.....AND ON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH, AND THE GATES OF HADES WILL NOT OVERCOME IT. I WILL GIVE YOU THE  KEYS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN; WHATEVER YOU BIND ON EARTH WILL BE BOUND IN HEAVEN, AND WHATEVER YOU LOOSE ON EARTH WILL BE LOOSED IN HEAVEN.
MATTHEW 16:18-19

Is it really a difficult choice?

'BEHOLD, I AM COMING SOON! MY REWARD IS WITH ME, AND I WILL GIVE TO EVERYONE ACCORDING TO WHAT HE HAS DONE. I AM THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, THE FIRST AND THE LAST, THE BEGINNING AND THE  END.  REVELATION 22:12-13

Let you kids see you witnessing and making a difference. Set the example. Even if you think
you don't know how to witness, God will give you the words to say.

AT THAT TIME YOU WILL BE GIVEN WHAT TO SAY, FOR IT WILL NOT BE YOU SPEAKING, BUT THE SPIRIT OF YOUR FATHER SPEAKING THROUGH YOU.
MATTHEW 10:19-20

The only way to Heaven.....and God is not picky!

AND EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED;
JOEL 2:32

What are you waiting for? Shout to Jesus. He is waiting for you to call upon his name.

He is ready for you. Are you ready for him?

He loves you so much!

'FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.'
JOHN 3:16

It's not too late....yet.
Will your kids be beside you?

THAT EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.
JOHN 3:15

Don't be the reason others can't find Jesus. What a horrible fate.

WE KNOW THAT ANYONE BORN OF GOD DOES NOT CONTINUE TO SIN; THE ONE WHO WAS BORN OF GOD KEEPS HIM SAFE, AND THE EVIL ONE CANNOT HARM HIM.
1 JOHN 5:18
HE DIED FOR YOU. WILL YOU LIVE FOR HIM?

'TURN TO ME AND BE SAVED, ALL YOU ENDS OF THE EARTH; FOR I AM GOD, AND THERE IS NO OTHER. ISAIAH 45:22

                                            I LOVE YOU!

PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for our friend Paige. She is a young student at UCA and a good friend of Lyndsie's. She is going for a knee procedure and possibly knee surgery on Thursday. She is afraid and could use each of your prayers. Thank you so much for being so faithful to pray for our needs. Love you all!

Praying for you Paige. You will be fine. God will take care of you!

THEREFORE CONFESS YOUR SINS TO EACH OTHER AND PRAY FOR EACH OTHER SO THAT YOU MAY BE HEALED.

LISTENING TO GOD

Our new kid arrived yesterday and has blended in very well with the precious boys here. The boys were so welcoming and ready to show him everything. They fought over who would sit by him at the table. I have to admit that I have been struggling a little bit the past couple of weeks. My son has not been acting himself. He has become a little withdrawn and seems sad. Of course that breaks a mommy's heart. I told my husband; I just am not sure this is what God wants for our life. Why would he want my son to me miserable? Why would he want us to struggle so much? I want everything to be normal again. Of course I want a quick fix and not really thinking about what God has already worked out for me. I worked as a nurse for an Internal Medicine doctor for 4 years before I came into this ministry. In that 4 years I met many people. I was not only a nurse but became a counselor for people that  were losing their loved ones to cancer, going through divorce, drug addiction and for one person, a spouse that committed suicide in their home. I became close with a lot of my patients by just being an ear when they needed to come in and talk to someone. I still am good friends with several people I met while being a nurse at that clinic. God put a lot of people in my life while working in that clinic for me to help and for them to help me as well. Turns out one of those people that God put in my life to help, was the one I opened the door for to greet the little boy coming in yesterday. I was very surprised to see this person standing at the door with this little boy. God brought this person in my life a couple of years back for me to help with struggles and now he brings his son into my life. It's amazing how God works things out. The little boys dad said I am so glad to see you here. It makes me feel so much better about leaving my son. Just when I feel like God has left me to struggle, he brings people in my life to reassure me that I am in his will. Thank you God for helping me to realize how selfish I was being, and for allowing once again, to be the person you want me to be for the people you continue to bring into my life. Please continue to pray for us and the ministry. Love you guys and God bless you!

MAY GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!

THE DEVILS GAME

The Devil is very sneaky in dealing with us. Today while watching the kids we got a phone call that we have a new boy coming to our program on Monday. My first thought was a mother is losing her child. A little later I had a friend call me with a personal problem she was burdened with. I started thinking man, the Devil is playing his game well and he is winning! I started thinking about some precious people that I know who are battling the devil now, and unfortunately he is ruler of their lives at the moment. I battle the Devil daily but with God's mercy he has helped me win the fight. I took a pen and started writing and within 5 minutes I had on paper what God was saying to me. I am not a perfect person and am so not worthy of God's love. When I write on this blog a lot of times I feel guilty myself, because I know God is speaking to me. Sometimes its scary what God has to tell us...... but it's the truth. Lets stop letting the Devil win. Lets get on Gods team. The winning team!

DEVILS GAME
Don't tell me I'm a loser
for many souls I've won.
I've got the adulteress, the boozer
and the preachers son.

We all hang out here in my fiery hell.
This place that I call home,
to keep from coming here..I'll never tell,
for there are thousands yet to come.

I'll admit, I was scared at first
when you started spreading 'The good news'.
But then you quit, ha lucky me,
I told you I never lose!

You told the guy down the street
that Jesus loved him so.
And then he seen you in the bar
each time that he would go.

You invited you neighbor to church one day, you told her you knew Christ.
She came that Sunday but you were not there, what a witness to your life.

The bumper sticker on your car written about God,
well you wear it sooo good.
Last week when you got angry in traffic,
I think everyone understood.

Yesterday at the grocery store you passed the hungry beggar by.
And now he is here with me, Hell is where he'll lie.

I'm so proud of you, I'll see you soon. You've done me so very well.
You've welcomed so many souls in to my Devil's Hell.

You think Heaven's gates will open for you because you say that you don't sin?
Ha, more like you'll burst my doors wide open and I'll gladly greet you in.

Oh yes, I can't wait until you get here and I see your dismayed grin,
When you come to my Devil's Hell....and I'm sitting beside your best friend.

Your friend, Satan

                                                    By: Denise Rochester

TAKE TIME TO PRAY. PRAY THE DEVIL OUT OF YOUR LIFE. JESUS SAYS THAT ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY IS 'DEVIL GET BEHIND ME', AND HE WILL. THE DEVIL HATES MORE THAN ANYTHING FOR YOU TO TELL JESUS TO COVER YOU IN HIS BLOOD. PRAY THAT GOD POURS HIS BLOOD ALL OVER YOU. YOUR PROTECTION AGAINST SATAN!

JESUS SAID TO HIM, "AWAY FROM ME SATAN! FOR IT IS WRITTEN:
WORSHIP THE LORD YOU GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY."
THEN THE DEVIL LEFT HIM, AND ANGELS CAME AND ATTENDED HIM.
MATTHEW 4:10-11

WHAT DID YOU SAY TODAY?

God seen it and said; it is good. Do you think God is saying that about you right now? Looking down at you and saying; Oh, it is so good. I know that my God is telling me I need to keep going. I need to improve on my relationship with my father. I need to work harder at winning his children to his kingdom. No matter how rough the road, there is always asphalt to lay. There are always seeds to be planted. We try and tell the kids be the first to plant the seed if necessary, but be the last if you have to. The last one will probably be the one that gets them to Gods kingdom. And God will use us when we least expect it. I have been guilty of saying, here God? Are you sure? Do you know that if you are in a line at Wal-Mart and just tell the cashier God Bless you, it may be the first time she has heard it. Maybe that one remark will lay on her heart all day. Someone has to plant the seed. There may be someone that just came through her line and told her Jesus loved her, and she just needed your comment to seal the deal with Christ. On the flip side of the coin, your comment can also be the one to break the deal. Wouldn't you feel terrible if you actually knew how many people denied Christ because of your own actions. We all have bad days and are not always the smile someone needs. But we have to watch our actions always and especially to those who are lost. Our actions could send them to a sinners Hell. I was in Walgreen's one day this week with my daughter. We had went there to question them about a medicine they had given me for my son. The pill was different than what the previous prescription had been, so I went to make sure they gave me the right pill. The lady pulled it up on the computer and said; Yep, we gave you the right pill. I said; Well, I know that's what is says in the computer but could you have a pharmacist LOOK AT THE PILL and tell me if its the right pill. She snatched the bottle up and went over to he pharmacist. I seen him poor the pills out and shake his head. She came over and put the bottle down and said; It's the right pill. Then she turned around and walked away. I looked at my daughter and said; My goodness shes rude. My first impression of her would not be that she knew Christ as her personal Savior. Then I thought as I was leaving there, I wonder how many times when I have had a bad day that I've came across negative or rude to a stranger. My prayer today is that everyone I meet will know that Christ Jesus is my Lord and Savior and lives in me by my actions. I want to act like I am a child of God's always! I want to be able to teach the kids that even when someone is mean or rude, smile and say Jesus loves you. And Lord, please don't let my words be the ones that makes a person turn their hearts from you. That's a hard task to tackle sometimes uh. I will definitely need prayer to stay on track so please help me with that. Love you guys and God bless you!

MY FATHER IS IN CONTROL OF ALL

Did you know that not one leaf falls from a tree without God's permission? The wind does not blow without God saying so. In Matthew 8:26 it says that even the disciples were amazed. They said; what man can make even the winds and waves obey him? Can you imagine if we had that much power. What would you do with it? I imagine that we would not use it as God does. We would have all the money in the world, the most expensive cars and the biggest houses. People would be begging us for money and we would probably dismiss them. We would use it for our own selfish reasons I'm sure. Our lives would be a mess! God uses his power for good. When people found out who the Messiah was they begged him to perform miracles, and he did. But he healed people and brought people from death. He had love in his power. There are those of us who enjoy power and control. One day we will all realize that God is in ultimate control of all. God controls every breath we take. He tells our heart to beat and he will tell our heart when to stop beating. He is our power. He is our life. My prayer is that I never try and control what God has instore for me or how he uses me. He owns everything on earth and we are just allowed it for a short while. I pray that I allow him to continue to use me and with a joyful heart. I love you Lord. Lord, Always take credit for the work you do through me and let me have none of the credit! Take control of my life and mold me to be more like you. For without you.....I am nothing.

FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS GOD OF GODS AND LORD OF LORDS, THE GREAT GOD, MIGHTY AND AWESOME, WHO SHOWS NO PARTIALITY AND ACCEPTS NO BRIBES.
